Common questions
Do I need to disconnect the appliance before you arrive?
Yes, please have it unhooked from power, water, or gas before we get there. We are a hauling crew, not licensed electricians or plumbers, so we can lift and remove an appliance once it is disconnected, but we cannot safely cut gas or water lines for you.
What do you do with the old appliances?
We donate anything still in working condition and recycle the metal and components from the rest whenever we can. Keeping appliances out of the landfill is the whole point of doing good with our hauls.
Can you take a refrigerator or freezer with food still in it?
We can take the unit, but please empty and clean it out first. We cannot haul appliances full of food or standing water, and that also keeps the truck and the donation center happy.
Are there appliances or materials you cannot take?
We do not handle hazardous materials, so anything leaking refrigerant that has not been properly handled, along with chemicals, fuels, and similar items, is off the table. If you are unsure, send us a note before booking and we will tell you straight.
